Q.1. 1, 9, 25, 49, ?, 121

(A) 64

(B) 81

(C) 91

(D) 100

Ans .   B

The given series consist of squares of consecutive odd number i.e 12, 32, 52, 72, …….

So, missing term = 92 = 81.

(D) 49

Ans .   C

The pattern is +3, +5, +7, +9,……..

So missing term = 28 + 11 = 39.

(A) 26

(B) 27

(C) 29

(D) 37

Q.4. In the series 357, 363, 369, ……., what will be the 10th term ?

(A) 405

(B) 411

(C) 413

(D) 417

Ans .   B

The given series is an A.P. in which a = 357 and d = 6.

⸫ 10th term = a + ( 10 – 1) d = a + 9d

   = ( 357 + 9 × 6 ) = ( 357 + 54 ) = 411.

Hence, the answer is (b).
