Assam Police Recruitment 2020- Notification for 131 Posts

State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam Police has invited applications from interested candidates (both male and female) for recruitment to various posts. 

Eligible candidates will be recruited for 131 posts Of Extension Officer, Economic Investigator, Junior Assistant, and Stenographer Grade-III under Commissionerate Of Industries & Commerce.

Applications must be submitted online through the SLPRB website (http://www.slprbassam.in/) and will be received with effect from 17-08-2020. 

• The last date of receiving application will be 06-09-2020. 
• No application will be received thereafter.
• Also, there is no application fee for the said recruitment process.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years

Age Relaxation

The relaxation in upper age limit is as follows:

• 05 years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (P), and ST (H) candidates.
• 03 years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of two stages-

• First Stage Exam (Written Test)
• Second Stage Examination (Computer Based)

Written Exam

• Candidates whose applications are found to be correct in all respects will be called for written examination.
• The first stage exam is a written test of 100 marks with 100 marks and will be completely OMR based.
• Each question will be of 1 (one). There will be negative marking of ½ (half) marks for each wrong answer.
• Candidates will have to use black ball pen to answer OMR based answer book on the following topics: 

Computer Based Test (CBT)

• After completion of the Written Test, post wise merit list will be prepared for each category on the basis of total marks scored in the Written Test.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for the second stage CBT.
• It will be a computer-based exam to test the knowledge of posts applied and the proficiency in computer operations.

Merit List

Based on the aggregate performance of the candidates in the First Phase Test (Written Test) & Second Phase Test, the Final Merit List will be prepared category wise as shown in the table below-
