SAFF Under-16 Women's Championship will be organized in Nepal from March 1-10. For this, a 23-member Indian team has been announced. India was the winner of the SAFF Under-15 format in 2018 and 2019. This is the first time that the SAFF Under-16 Women's Championship is being organized.

The 5th edition of the joint military exercise ‘DHARMA GUARDIAN’ is being organized at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan. This exercise is being conducted from 25 February to 9 March 2024. Exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ is an annual military exercise and is conducted by the armies of India and Japan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Sudarshan Bridge', India's longest cable-stayed bridge over the Arabian Sea in Gujarat. This bridge is 2.32 km long which connects Okha and Bet Dwarka. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge in India. Rs 980 crore has been spent in its construction. There are solar panels on the upper part of the footpath of this bridge which will help in generating one megawatt of electricity. The bridge has also been constructed with four lanes and a 2.50 meter wide footpath on each side.

Recently the Government of Tamil Nadu has launched “TN Endangered Species Conservation Fund” to protect lesser-known species like the Nilgiri Marten. This rare carnivore, scientifically named Martes gwatkinsii, is restricted to the Western Ghats of India, which extends to Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Found in shoal ecosystems, it has chocolate-coloured fur and a canary yellow throat, resembling that of a civet or mongoose. Conservation efforts focus on its habitat at higher altitudes (300 to 1200 m) in specific Western Ghats groups.

The Maritime Technology Exhibition MTEX-24 is a major feature of MILAN 2024 in Visakhapatnam, showcasing India's advancements in naval technology. Recently inaugurated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, MTEX-24 runs for three days and emphasizes on self-reliance in defence. Recently the Madhya Pradesh government unveiled an innovative ‘bag-less schools’ policy, challenging the educational norms. Starting in 2024-25, the initiative mandates one bag-free day each week. Also the state government issues weight limits for school bags, ranging from 1.6 to 2.2 kg for classes 1 and 2, 2.5 to 4.5 kg for classes 9 and 10. The move aims to reduce the physical burden on students, making the learning environment more comfortable and promoting inclusiveness.
