Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) and Punjab National Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of taking forward renewable energy initiatives across the country. Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited is an Indian public sector enterprise, established in 1987.

Recently, controversy has arisen over the administration's claim of government ownership of Pandaram land in Lakshadweep, which has created tension with the local people. Recently the 11th International Puppet Festival was inaugurated on 17th February, 2024 at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. The inauguration of the Mahotsav was presided over by Rajeev Verma, Advisor to the Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Banwarilal Purohit, Administrator. The festival will run from February 17-21, 2024 and includes special morning shows for students and evening shows for the general public. The festival also features a puppet exhibition which includes live demonstrations of puppet making.

In this ranking, the ranking of Indian passport has fallen one place to 85th as compared to last year. In this ranking, six countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and Singapore) have emerged as the countries with the most powerful passports.

'Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority' (IEPFA) has entered into an agreement with DBS Bank to spread awareness on investment and fraudulent schemes. Recently a male tiger from Kanha Tiger Reserve has been shifted to Mukundpur Safari in Satna. Kanha Tiger Reserve, the largest in Madhya Pradesh, is spread over 940 sq km in Mandla and Balaghat districts. Established on June 1, 1955, and declared a tiger reserve in 1973, it has undulations of forest, hills, plateaus and valleys. The reserve, believed to be inspired by Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, is home to India's first tiger reserve mascot, “Bhoorsingh the Barasingha”.

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang launched the 'Sikkim INSPIRES' initiative in the state in collaboration with the Government of Sikkim and the World Bank. Its objective is to promote economic growth and inclusion. This program will provide better economic opportunities for women and youth through training and employment initiatives. Sikkim is a northeastern Indian state, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to unveil the 125-foot tall statue of Bir Lachit Barphukan in Jorhat, Assam during the first week of March this year. Lachit Day is celebrated every year on 24 November to recognize the military genius and unwavering leadership abilities of the famous Ahom Empire commander Lachit Barphukan.
