JKSSB Notification 2022 – Vacancies Out for 257 Junior Assistant, Stenographer & Other

JKSSB Recruitment 2022 Released: Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has published two latest notifications for recruitment of various posts, including Junior Assistant/Junior Assistant cum Computer Operator, Junior Scale Stenographer, Driver, Junior Assistant, Assistant Superintendent Jails, Assistant Scientific Officer, Tractor Driver, and Re-toucher Artist under advertisement number 01/2022 and 02/2022. A total of 257 vacancies will be filled in the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department, Home Department, Rural Development Department, ARI Trainings, Jammu & Kashmir.

Required Vacancy Details for JKSSB Recruitment 2022

Candidates applying for the recruitment should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination, which is as follows- 

Note-

• Candidates applying for the post of Junior Scale Stenographer / Junior Stenographer should have a minimum speed of 65 and 35 words per minute in shorthand and typewriting respectively, while as the candidates applying against the post of Junior Assistant must have knowledge of typewriting with not less than 35 words per minute. Only candidates who achieve an accuracy of 90% or above and a typing speed of a minimum of 35 words per minute will be considered eligible for the next stage.
• Candidates applying against the post where the skill test is applicable will have to pass the skill test to appear in the next level examination.
• The above posts are subject to minor changes on account of reconciliation with the concerned department.
• The above pay scale is subject to minor changes, if any, at the time of appointment by the indenting department.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the following basis-

• Skill test
• Written Examination/CBT
• Interview

Exam Pattern:

• The exam will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
• Questions will be set in the English language only.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Tentative answer-key will be available on the board's website (www.jkssb.nic.in) at the appointed time after the examination.
• The marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination will be normalized if necessary, to determine the final merit and cut-off marks.

For posts involving two-stage examination:

• For General: Rs 500/-
• For SC, ST, PWD & EWS Categories: Rs 400/-

For posts involving single stage examination:

• For General: Rs 400/-
• For SC,ST, PWD & EWS Categories: Rs 300/-
