JKSSB Recruitment 2021 - Notification Released for Group D Posts

Dear Candidates,

Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification for 458 vacancies for various posts including Librarian, Jr Engineer, Apprentice, Stenographer, Agriculture Extension Assistant, Junior Assistant, Field Supervisor, Driver etc. The above-said posts will be filled up by candidates having all kinds of qualifications, from 10th to 12th, Diploma to Graduate.

JKSSB Recruitment 2021-Important Dates 

Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Selection Board invites online applications from eligible candidates for the vacant posts of District/Mandal/Union Territory of various departments under the provisions of Decentralization and Recruitment Act, 2010.

• The available 458 posts will be filled in various departments, including 372 posts in the Agriculture Protection and Farmers Welfare Department and 86 posts in the Skill Development Department.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

Candidates, aspiring of getting this government job, must ensure that they fulfil all the prescribed eligibility conditions, as given below, before applying -

Note-

• Candidates applying for the post of Junior Scale Stenographer / Junior Stenographer should have a minimum speed of 65 and 35 words per minute in shorthand and type writing respectively, while candidates applying to the post of Junior Assistant should have knowledge of type writing. Speed not less than 35 words per minute. Only candidates who achieve an accuracy of 90% or more and a typing speed of a minimum of 35 words per minute will be considered eligible for the next stage.
• It is clarified that BCA, BCS, BCM, BE / B.Tech. (Computer / IT), MCA, MCS, MCM, BSc (IT), MSc (IT), ME / M.Tech. (Computer / IT) or B.Sc. (with computer as a subject) is not required to do a six-month certificate course in computer from a recognized institution.
• Candidates applying against the post where the skill test is applicable will have to pass the skill test to appear in the next level examination.
• The above posts are subject to minor changes due to reconciliation with the department concerned.
• The above pay scale is subject to minor changes, if any, at the time of appointment by the indenting department.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the following basis-

• Skill test
• Written Examination/CBT
• Interview

Exam Pattern:

• The exam will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions.
• Questions will be set in English language only.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Tentative answer-key will be available on the board's website (www.jkssb.nic.in) at the appointed time after the examination.
• The marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination will be normalized if necessary, to determine the final merit and cut-off marks.
