Great news for candidates applying for Rajasthan Village Development Officer Recruitment 2021: Recently, Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Service Selection Board (RSMSSB) has released the revised notice related to the RSMSSB VDO vacancy 2021-22 on its Official website. Let's explain in detail - 

The Board invited online applications for a total of 3896 vacancies (3222 posts of Non-scheduled sector and 674 posts of Scheduled sector) for the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department under Village Development Officer Direct Recruitment 2021 on 6th September 2021. But, now, 5396 vacancies have been increased (4557 posts of the Non-scheduled sector and 839 posts of the Scheduled sector) by RSMSSB.

While involving increased vacancies in the new vacancy notice, the RSSB has also shown reservation of district-wise and category-wise of VDO posts, which you can check in the table below.

5396 Village Development Officer Recruitment 2021

Online applications have been invited in the prescribed form for recruitment to the following posts under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Corporation-1996 and Rajasthan Scheduled Area Subordinate, Ministerial and Class IV Service Rules, 2014 for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. The important dates for the application are as follows:-

Required Eligibility Criteria

Following are the detailed description and eligibility conditions for Rajasthan Village Development Officer Direct Recruitment 2021-22:-

Educational Qualification -

• Graduate Degree or Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized University.
• Knowledge of working in Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan's culture.

Age Relaxation -

Due to non-conduct of Village Development Officer Recruitment Examination from the year 2016 onwards, all the applicants will be given further relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.

• Relaxation of 5 years for women from general category and economically weaker section.
• Relaxation of 5 years for male candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes who are permanent residents of Rajasthan.
• Relaxation of 10 years for women candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes who are permanent residents of Rajasthan.

Contributory Pension -

A contributory pension scheme will be applicable as per rules for the newly recruited/appointed employees.

Selection Process:

• The examination for recruitment to the posts of Village Development Officer will be conducted in two phases. The prelims exam will be conducted in the first phase. The prelims exam will be of qualifying nature only.
• The number of candidates to be admitted to the Mains examination shall be 15 times the total number of category-wise vacancies to be filled through this examination, but the said range will include all those candidates who obtain such marks as are in the lowest range. will be allotted for the examination, will be given admission in the Mains examination.
• Prelims and Mains Exam will be made at the test center allocated by Board. The board reserves the right to change the date and venue of the examination.
• The Exam Pattern and Detailed Syllabus will be made available separately on the Board's website www.rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in.

Exam Fee:

• Candidates belonging to General and OBC (Creamy Layer) category will have to pay an application fee of Rs.450.
• For Rajasthan State BC/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category, the registration fee is Rs.350.
• Whereas for the state of Rajasthan the application fee for SC/ST category is Rs.250.
