As we know, SSC MTS Exam 2023 is around the corner, and knowing the exam pattern and syllabus is essential for adequate preparation.
The SSC MTS Exam Pattern and Syllabus helps the candidate understand the exam structure, the topics to be covered, the types of questions asked, and the marking scheme.
The syllabus also provides insight into the questions that may be asked in the exam. It also allows candidates to plan their study strategy and make the best available time.
As mentioned in the SSC MTS Notification 2023, subsequently, there will be no descriptive paper for SSC MTS; Candidates will be selected only through Computer Based Examination and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).
However, as per the Old SSC MTS Exam Pattern , after Paper 1, Paper 2 (descriptive test) was also included for 50 marks.

The SSC MTS Exam Paper 1 is scheduled in April 2023. This year SSC has revised the SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2023. As per the revised exam pattern, a Computer-Based Examination will be conducted which is divided into 2 Sessions: Session-I and Session-II. It is mandatory for all candidates to attempt both the Sessions.

The candidates who have applied for SSC Havaldar posts have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Standard Test after qualifying SSC MTS Tier 1 Exam.
Followings are the PET/ PST standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN:

After knowing and understanding the latest exam pattern of the SSC MTS Exam, candidates can move forward to the SSC MTS Syllabus. Candidates preparing for the SSC MTS Havaldar Exam can go through the section-wise SSC MTS syllabus given below.
It will include questions on problems relating to Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Work and Time, Direct and inverse Proportions, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Area and Perimeter of Basic Geometric Figures, Distance and Time, Lines and Angles, Interpretation of simple Graphs and Data, Square and Square roots etc.
The questions in this part intend to measure the candidates’ general learning ability. The questions will be broadly based on Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Following Directions, Similarities and Differences, Jumbling, Problem Solving and Analysis, Nonverbal Reasoning based on diagrams, age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, etc.
The broad coverage of the test will be on Social Studies (History, Geography, Art and Culture, Civics, Economics), General Science and Environmental studies up to 10th Standard.
Candidates' understanding of the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and to test comprehension, a simple paragraph may be given and question based on the paragraph to be asked.
For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the Paper.
For the first time, SSC MTS computer-based exam will be held in "15 languages" and the candidates have to choose their choice of language while filling their application form.
