SSC MTS Vacancy Eligibility Criteria 2019

Age Limit

There is a different age criterion for a different post.

(A) 18-25 years as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2001).

(B) 18-27 years as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001).

Educational Qualifications

The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination/10th Class or equivalent from a recognized board/ university.

Salary/ Pay-Scale

• Pay Matrix- Level-1 (Revised Pay Scale after 7th Pay Commission) 
• Salary- Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- 
• Grade Pay- Rs. 1800/-

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in-

• Computer-Based Examination (Paper-I) 
• Descriptive Paper (Paper-II)

Exam Pattern

• Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Paper-II will be of descriptive type in which the candidate will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.

Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. ssc.nic.in. 

• Visit the official website and go to 'Apply Online'.
• Select the appropriate post and fill up the application form.
• Upload the required documents along with your signature and photograph.
• Pay the applicable amount of fee in the prescribed mode of payment.
• Submit the form and keep the fee receipt for future reference.

Note:- Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
