UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2021 - Apply for Assistant Commandant (AC)!

Dear Candidates,

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the process of application along with issuing notifications for a total of 159 posts under the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Exam 2021. 

Candidates who want to get a commandant job in the army, candidates can apply online for various posts through UPSC official website upsconline.nic.in.

Assistant Commandant (Group A) Exam 2021

Through the recruitment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) like- Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) To be appointed as Assistant Commandant.

Eligibility Criteria:

Before applying for the examination, the candidates should ensure that they are eligible for admission in the examination or not, or they fulfill all the eligibility conditions. Following is the temporary number of vacancies to be filled on the basis of test results.

Age Relaxation -

• Maximum 5 years relaxation for SC / ST.
• Maximum 3 years relaxation for OBC.
• Maximum 5 years relaxation for ex-servicemen

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the following basis: -

• Written exam
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Personality test / interview
• Final Section / Merit

Written exam -

The first phase examination will be held on 08 August 2021, it will consist of 2 papers.

• Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence will be asked objective-type questions in Hindi and English of 250 marks.
• Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension will have 200 marks.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) -

Candidates who score minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be sent for the medical standard test.

Personality Test (Interview) -

Candidates who are declared qualified in the medical standard test will be called for the interview conducted by the UPSC.

• The interview test will be of 150 marks.

Final Section -

The merit list will be made on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the written examination and interview.
