The Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, Andhra Pradesh has issued a notification for the recruitment of eligible candidates on 10700 posts of Gram Swayamsevak (Rural)/ Ward Volunteer (Urban) vacancies.

The outbreak of COVID-19 is not over the world yet. Keeping the public interest in lockdown, the Government of India is making every effort to provide house-to-house ration and other essential services. 

Recently, the Andhra Pradesh state government has expressed an immediate need to fill up 10700 vacancies for the role of the Village/Ward Volunteers to deliver these household necessities to the doorsteps of urban as well as rural citizens, arose due to unauthorized absence and resignations of some village volunteers.

An official notification about the AP Gram Volunteer Recruitment 2020 has been issued duly mentioning the timelines, eligibility criteria viz., age, qualification, reservation, etc.

• The applicant should be a resident of the same panchayat or municipality in the case of rural and municipality or in the case rural or urban, respectively.
• Applications can be submitted until 24 April 2020.
• All eligible applicants will be called for interview and will be appointed on the basis of it.

Educational Qualification-

Candidates must have pursued the below-prescribed qualification from any recognized board or institute-

• 10th Pass for Tribal Area
• 12th Pass for Rural Area
• Degree Pass for Urban Area
