Assam Police is offering large recruitment for eligible male & female candidates this year, and this is excellent news for candidates looking for various jobs in the Assam Police department.

Newly, the Office of the Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) Assam has invited online applications for the 2649 various posts under the Forest Department. A total of 2649 vacancies, including Forester Grade I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver and others, will be filled under the recruitment drive Assam Police Recruitment 2023 Job Notification.

Interested candidates can apply online on or before 06 February 2023.

Assam Police Recruitment 2023 - Overview 

The selection of candidates will be through physical tests and written exams. The date and venue of PST / PET will be intimated in due course of time by email, SMS, and various other means and through the SLPRB website (www.slprbassam.in).

Assam Police Recruitment Eligibility

The candidate must satisfy the following criteria:-

a) Nationality- Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence /Domicile Certificate after the publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.  

b) Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

c) Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2023) -

For the posts of Forester Grade I, Forest Guard & Driver:

• Minimum Age : 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983

For the posts of AFPF Constable & Driver Constable:

• Minimum Age : 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after
• Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Selection Process

Candidates will have to undergo these steps for the selection process-

• Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Written exam
• NCC
• ORAL / VIVA-VOCE
• Final Merit Lists
