Bihar Police Recruitment 2020 - Notification for 8415 Constable Posts!!

Dear Candidates,

The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has issued a notification for a total of 8415 posts of constable (constable) in Bihar Police/ Bihar Military Police/ Specialized India Reserve Corps/ Bihar State Industrial Security Corps. Both female and male candidates can apply for the available posts.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of CSBC from 13th November.

• It is mandatory for the application to be a citizen of India.
• According to the notification, the selection process will be in two phases. First, the written test will be conducted.
• The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Physical Efficiency Test.

Eligibility Criteria:

It is mandatory for every candidate to adhere to the following eligibility conditions-

Educational Qualification -

Those candidates are eligible to apply for the posts of constable in Bihar Police-

• Those who have passed 12th examination from a recognized board.
• Maulvi certificate issued by Madrasa Board of Bihar State Government or Shastri (including English) or Acharya (without English) certificate issued by Sanskrit Board of Bihar State.
• Have obtained other equivalent qualification recognized by the State Government.

Age Limit -

• Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for General/EWS: 25 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for OBC/EBC (Male): 27 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for OBC/EBC (Female): 28 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for SC/ST: 30 Years

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates for the post of constable will be done on the following basis-

• Written Exam
• Physical Aptitude/Proficiency Test

(1) Written Examination -

After the collection of application forms, the application forms will be scrutinized and written test will be conducted for the candidates whose applications are found correct.

• The written examination for the candidates will be of 100 marks.
• All the written test questions will be of objective type.
• The question paper will have to solve 100 questions within 2 hours, in which 01 marks will be given for each correct answer.
• Candidates achieving less than 30% marks in the written examination will be declared unsuccessful for the physical efficiency test.
• The written examination will not be the basis of the final merit list. The written test will be qualifying for the physical qualification test only.

(2) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) -

• Candidates who achieve a score of 30% or more in the written test will have to take the Physical Efficiency Test.
• Physical efficiency test will be of 100 marks in total.
• It is mandatory to be successful in PET and no relaxation will be given in the minimum prescribed criteria of physical qualification.
