Eligibility Criteria & Vacancies Details

The department has given a month's time to the youth for the filling application. Here are the essential eligibility conditions that must be adhered to before applying for the recruitment-

Age limit (as on 01 January 2020):

• Minimum age limit: 18 years
• Maximum age limit for General / EWS: 25 years
• Maximum age limit for OBC/ EBC (Male): 27 years
• Maximum age limit for OBC/ EBC (Female): 28 years
• Maximum age limit for SC/ ST: 30 years

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates for the post of Constable will be done on the basis of-

• Written Exam
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

(1) Written Examination

• The question paper will contain 100 questions, each question will carry 01 mark.
• All the questions will be of multiple-choice objective type.
• Total time given for the question paper will be 2 hours.
• The examination will be of qualifying in nature and will shortlist the candidates for PET. 

(2) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Candidates who achieve a score of 30% or more in the written test will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test.
• Physical efficiency test will be of 100 marks.
• It is mandatory to be successful in PET and no relaxation will be given in the minimum prescribed criteria of physical qualification.

Physical Standards-

Height and Chest candidates’ physical criteria - No marks will be given for the measurement, but candidates who do not get full qualification marks in the physical criteria will be declared unsuccessful.

(A) Height -

• For Unreserved (General) Men and Backward Class Men - Minimum 165 cm.
• For all categories of women - minimum 155 centimetres.
• For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes - Minimum 160 centimetres.
• For Extremely Backward Class male - minimum 162 cm.

(B) Chest (only for men) -

• For unreserved (General) / Backward class / Extremely backward class men - Without inflating - 81 cm (minimum) by inflating - 86 cm (minimum) (at least 5 cm difference in measurement of chest after inflating Will be mandatory).
• For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe men - Without inflating - 79 cm (minimum) by inflating - 84 centimetre (minimum) (After fluff, it will be mandatory to have a difference of at least 5 cm in the measurement of chest).
• There will be no chest measurement for women.

Fee Details

• For General/OBC/EWS Candidates Application Fee Rs.450/-.
• For SC/ST Candidates Application Fee Rs.112/-.
• Payment Mode: Through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking
