The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) on the vacant posts, on which both women and men applicants can apply.

BPSC Recruitment Notification 2020- Vacancy Details

BPSC is recruiting engineering pass qualified candidates for 255 posts through this recruitment, candidates, who are interested in the vacancy details and meet all the eligibility criteria can apply for it.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

The age limit according to the categories is as follows-

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum age for general (male): 37 years
• Maximum age for OBC/ BC/ General (Female): 40 years
• Maximum age for SC/ ST (Male and Female): 42 years

Age relaxation has been given for Other Backward Classes / PWDs, Divyang, and Reserved Classes. Find more information in the age limit section of the official notification for age relaxation.

Selection Process

• Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of a Written Examination.
• The examination will consist of 6 papers in which, 4 are compulsory and 2 are optional.

Salary/ Pay Scale

Selected candidates for all Assistant Engineer posts will get salary of Rs. 44900/- to 56900/- (Salary Level-9) per month.

• For Female Candidates of Bihar State- Rs. 200/-
• For SC/ ST Candidates of Bihar State- Rs. 200/-
• For General and all other applications: 750/-
• For PWD Candidates: Rs. 200/-
