Rajasthan CET Exam Notification 2021 - Apply for 20 Non-Technical Departments
Dear Candidates,
From time to time, the Rajasthan government has made changes in the pattern of entrance exam to reduce the pressure of competitive examination among the candidates. Let us inform that from this year 2021, the state has made common eligibility test mandatory for appearing in the recruitment process of non-technical posts of subordinate and ministerial service. This test is good news for those graduate and 12th pass youths who were seeking simplicity for recruitment from the government in this regard for a long time.
Brief information regarding CET exam
CET is a common eligibility test. Which the Rajasthan government has decided to conduct CET examination to reduce the burden of repeated applications, appearing in the examination, paying application fee, traveling etc. by the candidates for the recruitment of various posts in the government services. Also, on the basis of the marks obtained in this eligibility test, the appointment of employees will be given in 20 departments. There is no limit for appearing in CET exam. Candidates can voluntarily appear in the Common Eligibility Test as many times as they want. The validity of CET will be for 3 years, in which case candidates can apply for other vacancies on the basis of the same marks for three years after giving the exam once. Candidates will have to register for the CET exam only once, which can free them from the hassles of paying fees again and again for appearing in various recruitments.

The following instructions have been issued by the Rajasthan government to implement the CET provision -
- It will be mandatory to part in the “Common Eligibility Test – CET” for appearing in the recruitment process for Non-Technical Posts (Schedule I & II) of the Subordinate and Ministerial Services. On the basis of marks scored in CET only, will be considered eligible to participate in the competitive examination to be conducted for recruitment to any post.
- The Common Eligibility Test will be conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB). The CET exam will be conducted by the board only once in a year.
- Separate CET exam will be conducted for the posts mentioned in Schedule I and II on the basis of graduate and 12th pass educational qualification.
- The Common Eligibility Test will be a one stage multiple choice question paper based exam.
- A special cell will be constituted in RSSB for the regular conduct of CET exam, which will be headed by a senior officer of Rajasthan Administrative Service. Who will report directly to the Chairman and RSSB.
- The marks of all the candidates will be made public after the CET exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Board.
- There will be no minimum passing marks for CET exam rather applications will be invited from the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in this test at the time of recruitment to a particular post.
- The period of validity of the marks scored in CET will be 3 years i.e. any candidate will be considered eligible to apply for the respective posts on the basis of marks scored once in the examination or up to 3 years if eligible.
- Reservation provisions prevailing in the state with regard to age and other parameters for CET will be applicable.
- There will be no limit on the number of chances for appearing in the CET exam. On the basis of age related and other eligibility, any number of times a candidate can appear in the examination to improve his/her ranking/marks and the opportunity in which he/she will score more marks will be counted for eligibility.
- CET will be an eligibility test only and the marks scored in this test will not be counted for final selection to any post.
- Such a system of one time registration will be developed by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board so that not only the CET exam but also the candidates will not have to apply again and again for recruitment to any post on the basis of this examination.
- The marks of the CET exam can also be used by the State Government Undertakings / Autonomous Institutions / Corporations / Boards / Banks etc. related to the State Government for the appointment of employees in their institutions.
