Chandigarh Education Department is hiring eligible candidates to fill up 293 posts of Junior Basic Training (JBTs)(Primary Teacher, class-1-V) on regular basis as per following details:-

Chandigarh JBT Teacher Vacancy & Eligibility 

Required information related to Chandigarh Education Department Recruitment 2023 like the number of vacancies, educational qualification, selection process, application fee, mode of application, etc are as follows.

Qualification -

• Candidate should posses Degree or equivalent, D.El.Ed, B. Ed, CTET.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2023) -

• Minimum Age Limit: 21 Years
• Maximum Age Limit: 37Years
• Age Relaxation is Applicable as per Rules.

Selection Process

a) Merit list for selection will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Objective Type Test. One objective type tests of 150 Marks will be conducted. Qualifying marks for test will be 40% for all candidates. No interview will be conducted.

b) Written test consisting of Multiple-choice questions will be conducted as under:

a) *Difficulty Level of questions will be upto 10th standard.

b) Minimum qualifying marks will be 40%.

c) Negative marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong answer.

d) The examination questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the Language papers which would be in the concerned Language only. However, paper will be set in English and Punjabi language also for those candidates who will submit their option for Punjabi medium at the time of filling up of online application Form.

• Fee for all others: Rs. 1000/-
• Fee for SC: Rs. 500/-
