 Candidates will to begin their teaching career must apply for CTET 2023 July Exam for which the registration link has been activated from 27th April to 26th May 2023.

What is CTET Exam?

CTET 2023 Exam is a central-level exam that is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board.  Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted the CTET exam for those aspirants who want to become govt. teachers.

The CTET exam is held in two parts i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1-5 and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6-8. Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1-8 need to qualify for both papers i.e. Paper 1  & Paper 2.

CTET Eligibility Criteria

It's very important to review the CTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria if you want to apply for the post of Primary & Upper Primary level CTET 2023. 

Qualification -

  • Candidates should pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks to be qualified as a primary stage teacher.
  • Candidates should clear graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or 10+2 with at least 50 percent aggregate marks from a recognized university to be qualified for the appointment of a secondary teacher.

CTET Notification 2023: Exam Pattern

In CTET Exam, there will be two papers :

  • Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: -

  • A person who intends to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II). 
  • Mathematics & Science- 30 MCQs each -60 Marks Or Social Studies/Social Science -60 MCQs -60 Marks (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher). There is no penalty for any wrong answers.

Application Fees:

  • For Gen/ OBC (Only Paper I or II): Rs. 1000/-
  • For Gen/ OBC (Both Paper I & II): Rs. 1200/-
  • For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Person (Only Paper I or II): Rs. 500/
  • For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Person (Both Paper I & II): Rs. 600/-
