The Government of India has recently signed a policy-based loan agreement of $170 million with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to enhance India's preparedness and capacity in the health sector to deal with future pandemics. The Union Home Ministry has appointed senior IAS officer Ashwini Kumar as the Commissioner of Delhi MCD. Kumar will replace Gyanesh Bharti as the MCD Commissioner. Ashwini, a 1992 batch IAS officer, is currently working as Additional Chief Secretary and Divisional Commissioner of the Revenue Department in the Delhi Government.

The Union Cabinet led by PM Modi approved the Rs 76,220 crore Vadhavan Port project in Maharashtra. It is one of the largest port projects in India. It can act as a gateway port for the upcoming India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC) and International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). Vadhavan Port will be a greenfield port.
