The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has come out with the notification to recruit Grade ‘A’ Officers (Assistant Managers) in the General, Legal, Information Technology and Engineering streams. SEBI is going to recruit 120 officers in all these streams combined through this recruitment Exercise.

Eligibility:

What is the Pay Scale for SEBI Grade ‘A’ Officer?
- The Grade ‘A’ Officers selected through this recruitment drive will be on the pay scale of Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600- 2000(1)-55600 (17 years)
- Apart from the basic pay, there will be various allowances such as DA, Local Allowance, family allowance etc. The total monthly emoluments with accommodation will be Rs 62000 per month whereas without accommodation, it will be Rs 92000 per month.
- The selected officers will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of appointment.
- The selected officers will also receive various perquisites such as book grant allowance, furnishing allowance, mobile allowance, conveyance allowance, subsidized lunch facility, house cleaning allowance etc.
What is the Exam Pattern for SEBI Grade ‘A’ Officer?
The Examination will be conducted in three phases – Phase I, Phase II and Personal Interview.

Once you clear the Phase – I Exam, you will have to appear in the Phase – II Examination. This will be an exam of 300 marks consisting of 3 papers for all the streams though the subjects will vary according to the stream applied for. The Phase-II Examination will be in the following pattern:

You have to score at least 40% marks in each of the three papers in order to get selected for the Phase III of the Examination.
Phase – III Examination:
The Phase-III Examination will consist of Personal Interview. The candidates may opt for interview either in Hindi or English.
Whereas 85% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the Phase II Examination, 15% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the Phase III of the Examination.
How to apply for SEBI Grade ‘A’ Officer?
- You have to apply online for the Post of Grade ‘A’ Officer (Assistant Manager) from the link here.
- You must have your scanned photograph, signature, hand-written declaration and left thumb impression ready before applying for the post of Officer Grade ‘A’.
- You have to make the payment of application fees online by using debit cards / credit cards / mobile wallets / cash cards etc. Please make sure that an e-receipt has been generated after you make the payment since that will confirm that the payment has been received.
- The application fees are Rs 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates whereas for others, the application fees are Rs 850/-.
