The Punjab Public Service Commission is inviting Online Application Forms from eligible candidates for recruitment to 157 posts of Building Inspector in the Department of Local Government, Government of Punjab.
- 131 posts of building inspector (Group B) in the Department of Local Government (Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats), Government of Punjab.
and
- 26 Post of Building Inspector (Group B) In the Department of Local Government (Municipal Corporation), Government of Punjab.

PPSC Recruitment - 157 Vacancies
The mentioned vacancies in the PPSC Notification are not fixed. The number of posts may be increased or decreased by the Government at any time before the selection process is complete without giving any prior notice to the candidates.
A Joint Competitive Examination will be conducted for the ibid posts. The Candidates shall fill out separate online application forms for the ibid posts in different departments.

PPSC Eligibility for Building Inspector
The vacancy detail and eligibility criteria for PPSC Building Inspector are as follows:

Academic Qualification -
- Diploma in Architecture/Architecture Assistantship from the State Board of Technical Education Punjab or from any other recognized institution.
- OR
- Higher Qualification in the relevant field from a recognized institution
IMPORTANT NOTE: The candidates MUST possess the requisite qualification before or by 08/07/2022.
Age Limit (01-01-2022) -
- Minimum Age – 18 years
- Maximum Age – 37 years
Age Relaxation -
- The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45 years for Punjab Government employees, the employees of its Boards/Corporations/Commissions and Authorities, and all States/ Central Government employees.
- The upper age limit is relaxed up to 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab.
- The upper age limit is also relaxed up to 42 years for widows, divorcees, and other categories of women.
- The upper age limit is also relaxed up to 47 years for "Persons with Disability" of Punjab.
Mode of Selection:
The procedure for selection of candidates for the post of Senior Assistant (Group-B) in the various departments of the Government of Punjab will be as per the following details:-

- The examination is pen and paper-based.
- Each question carries 4 marks and, for each correct answer candidate will get 4 marks.
- There will be Negative Marking (One Mark for each question) in the written examination for questions wrongly answered i.e. for each incorrect answer, 1 (One) mark will be deducted from the total score.
- The typing tests will be conducted after the written competitive examination, after shortlisting based on written test merit.
Application Fee:
- For SC/ ST of All States & BC of Punjab: Rs. 750/- (Application Fee – 500/- + Exam Fee – 250/-)
- For Ex-Servicemen, EWS, PWD & LDESM of Punjab, : Rs. 500/- (Application Fee – 500/- + No Exam Fee)
- For All Others Categories: Rs. 1500/- (Application Fee 500/- + Exam Fee – Rs 1000/-)
- Payment Mode: Through any Branch of State Bank of India Only.
