PPSC Senior Assistant Recruitment 2022 – Notification Released

Hello Candidates,

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC)  has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 198 vacancies for the post of Senior Assistants (Group-B) in various departments of Punjab.

If you wish to work as a Senior Assistant under the Department of School Education, Department of Water Supply and Sanitation, Department of Prosecution and Litigation, Department of Rural Development & Panchayat, Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management can apply online from the official website i.e. www.ppsc.gov.in till 5th July 2022.

PPSC Recruitment 2022: Important Dates

It is to be noted that, a Joint Competitive Examination will be conducted for the ibid posts. The Candidates shall fill out separate online application forms for the ibid posts in different departments.

Candidates will be selected by the written exam. The written competitive examination for the post will be scheduled soon.

PPSC Recruitment 2022 Eligibility 

The vacancy detail and eligibility criteria for Punjab Senior Assistant are as follows:

Academic Qualification -

• Possesses the Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or Institution.
• Should have passed Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The candidates MUST possess the requisite qualification before or by 05/07/2022.

Age Limit (01-01-2022) -

• Minimum Age – 18 years
• Maximum Age – 37 years

Age Relaxation -

• The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45 years for Punjab Government employees, the employees of its Boards/Corporations/Commissions and Authorities, and all States/ Central Government employees.
• The upper age limit is relaxed up to 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab.
• The upper age limit is also relaxed up to 42 years for widows, divorcees, and other categories of women.  
• The upper age limit is also relaxed up to 47 years for "Persons with Disability" of Punjab.

Mode of Selection:

The procedure for selection of candidates for the post of Senior Assistant (Group-B) in the various departments of Government of Punjab will be as per the following details:-

• The examination is pen and paper-based.
• Each question carries 4 marks and, for each correct answer candidate will get 4 marks.
• There will be Negative Marking (One Mark for each question) in the written examination for questions wrongly answered i.e. for each incorrect answer, 1 (One) mark will be deducted from the total score.
• The typing tests will be conducted after the written competitive examination, after shortlisting based on written test merit.

Application Fee:

• For SC/ ST of All States & BC of Punjab: Rs. 750/- (Application Fee – 500/- + Exam Fee – 250/-)
• For Ex-Servicemen, EWS, PWD & LDESM of Punjab, : Rs. 500/- (Application Fee – 500/- + No Exam Fee)
• For All Others Categories: Rs. 1500/- (Application Fee 500/- + Exam Fee – Rs 1000/-)
• Payment Mode: Through any Branch of State Bank of India Only.
