1. This instrument can be called the initial form of Veena. Its shape resembles a veena and similarly, it has two trumpets.

2. Its rod is made of bamboo on which 22 curtains made of the skin of a particular animal are pasted with wax. Sometimes these are also made of crocodile skin.

3. There are five or six strings attached to the curtains. The strings are played by striking them with the base of the finger and thumb so that the rhythm starts sounding.
