RPSC Recruitment 2020 - Notification Out for Assistant Professor Posts!!

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a notification for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor. A total of 918 Vacancies are notified for various streams including Botany, Chemistry, Maths, Physics, English, Hindi, History, Music, Sanskrit, Geography, Home Science, Urdu, Law, Punjabi etc.

This recruitment has been taken by the Commission under the Rajasthan Education Service (College Branch) Rules, 1986 for the Department of College Education.

• The post for Assistant Professor is permanent and the number of posts can be decreased / increased by the department.
• Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the Commission, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. For which time of one month has been given.

Age limit (as on 01 July 2021) -

• Minimum Age - 21 years
• Maximum Age - 40 years

Age Relaxation -

• Male Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and More Backward Classes of Rajasthan State: 5 Years
• Women Candidates belonging to General Category and Rajasthan State’s Economically Weaker Sections (E.W.S.): 5 Years
• Women Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and More Backward Classes of Rajasthan State: 5 Years
• There is no upper age limit for widowed and divorced women.

Selection Process:

The selection process of the candidates will be as follows -

• Written exam
• Interview

A. Written exam -

The written examination shall consist of the following papers carrying the marks and time allowed, as shown against them: -

B. Interview –

• The interview shall carry 24 marks. 
• To the extent of three times of total number of vacancies (category wise), the candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in written examination as may be fixed by the Commission, shall be summoned for interview. 

Note: - The Commission shall not recommend a candidate who has failed to appear in any of the written paper and interview.

How to apply?

• Visit the official website of RPSC rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
• Click on the link to apply online or log in through the website https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
• Click on the registration OTR once on the recruitment portal and fill the online application.
• After filling the online application, the candidate has to pay the application fee to create the application ID.
• If a candidate does not receive the application ID after submitting the online application, it means that the candidate has to fill the application again if the application form is not filled.
• After submitting the application to all the candidates, take a print out of the online application.
