After a long time Railway department has released bumper recruitment for 12th & Diploma pass candidates.

Indian Railway has uploaded the latest RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Notification 2023 for filling up 238 vacancies on 31st March 2023. However, Online application forms will be from 7th April 2023 till 06th May 2023.

This is a great opportunity for all the young aspirants who want to join Indian Railways. Applicants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria in terms of age limit, essential qualifications, etc for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) before applying. 

Railway Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment - 238 Vacancies

Railway has mentioned some guidelines for RRB Recruitment 2023.

Eligible employees should submit their applications through online mode only.

Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere on North Western Railway.

Decision of the Railway Recruitment Cell, Jaipur in the matter of selection will be final.

The number of Vacancies shown in the notification are provisional and the same may increase or decrease depending upon the actual needs of the administration at the time of appointment.

Railway Administration reserves the right to alter the mode of examinations or re-conduct CBT/written examination or to cancel part or whole of any process of recruitment at any stage.

Railway Assistant Loco Pilot Eligibility & Vacancy 

The required eligibility criteria for RRB ALP Recruitment 2023 as mentioned in the notification have been detailed below. If you are planning to apply for these posts, go through the RRB ALP Educational Qualification and Age limit discussed here. 

Railway Assistant Loco Pilot Age Limit -

The upper age limit will be 42 years for General candidates, 45 years for OBC candidates and 47 years for SC/ST candidates as per Railway Board letter No. E (NG)I-2000/PM2/12 dt. 21.08.2001 (RBE No. 165/2001). The age will be reckoned as on 01.07.2023. 

Selection Process

The recruitment process shall comprise of a Computer Based Test (CBT) OR written examination followed by an aptitude/Speed/Skill test (wherever applicable), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. 

a) Standard of examination shall be like that of direct recruitment conducted by RRB. 

b) CBT or Written Examination will be conducted in single/two stages in the categories wherever applicable. 

c) The selection will be made strictly as per merit. Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of their original documents. 

d) CBT/ Written Examination will have multiple choice type questions. There shall be negative marking in written examinations and 1/3rd of the allotted marks for each question shall be deducted for every wrong answer. 

e) The Employees under GDCE will have to pass the Aptitude Test. 

f) The date, time and venue of the CBT/written examinations and Aptitude tests will be fixed by RRC/Jaipur and will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
