RSMSSB Recruitment 2020-21 Re-Open: Application Start For Forest Guard and Forester Posts!!

You will be happy to know that the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) has invited online applications once again with double growth in vacancies for Forester and Forest Guard Direct Recruitment Examination - 2020. According to the new notifications released on 11 March, RSMSSB has issued an additional 99 posts for Forester and 2300 posts for the Forrest Guard.

However, RSMSSB published the recruitment notification for a total of 1041 vacancies on 08 December 2020, out of which 886 posts were for the Forest Guard and 87 posts for the Forester. But now interested and eligible candidates can apply again till 29 March 2022 by checking the guidelines issued by the Official website, rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

The vacancy details and the required eligibility conditions are mentioned in the table below -

Age Relaxation -

• All applicants will be given a further relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit due to the conduct of the Forester and Forest Guard Recruitment Examination since the year 2015-16.
• 5 years exemption for women from general category and economically weaker sections.
• SC, ST, OBC, OBC male candidates who are permanent residents of Rajasthan, 5 years relaxation.
• 10 years relaxation to women candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes who are permanent residents of Rajasthan.

Application Fee:

• For General/OBC (Creamy Layer): Rs. 450/-
• For BC/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Rs. 350/-
• For SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 250/-
• Mode of Payment: Online Payment Methods

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates on the available posts will be done based on their performance in -

• Written Test 
• Physical Standard & Endurance Test
• Interview

The exam will be conducted at allotted venues and the information regarding it will be provided on the official website.

Physical Standard & Endurance Test (PST/PET)

Walking Speed: The male and female candidates need to complete the distance of 25 and 16 km respectively in 4 hours duration by walking only.

Note: The PET and PST are qualifying in nature. 

How to Apply??

The application forms will be submitted in Online mode. The candidates are suggested to go through the instructions given in the notification before applying. 

The steps to submit the online application forms are given below -

• Visit the Rajasthan SSO website, www.sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
• Candidates first need to register themselves and create an SSO ID and password.
• After that, log in to the portal with the allotted ID and password.
• Now, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link in the relevant recruitment on the ‘Ongoing Recruitment’.
• Fill up the application form carefully.
• Submit the form.
• Now, pay the required amount of fees on the ‘Pay fees’ page.
• Candidates can pay the fee via net banking/ ATM/ Debit/ Credit Card/ E-Mitra.
