Well, the State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the bumper vacancies for the post of Probationary Officer. The online applications are available on the official website to fill up 2000 vacancies under this recruitment.

State Bank of India - Probationary Officer (PO) Recruitment 2020-21
Interested candidates can apply online for the direct recruitment process before the last date, for which the application process has started. If you also want to join the recruitment drive and have the required eligibility, then you can apply and join the biggest bank in the country.
- Eligible candidates are required to register on-line for the recruitment process to take place in three stages, i.e. Phase-I, Phase – II, and Phase-III.
- Candidates selected after Phase-I will have to appear for Phase-II.
- Candidates selected after Phase - II will later be called for Phase - III.

Selection Process:
Selection for the Probationary Officer will be done through a three-tier process:
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Exam
- Interview
Phase-1 Online Preliminary Examination -
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection.

Phase-II Mains Examination -
The category-wise merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the preliminary examination. There will be no sectional cut-off.
- The Mains exam will be conducted online and will include an objective test for 200 marks and a descriptive test for 50 marks.
- The descriptive test will be given immediately after the conclusion of the objective test and the candidates will have to type the answers of their descriptive test on the computer.
Objective Test: The objective test duration is 3 hours and consists of 4 sections with a total of 200 marks. There will be different timings for each section.

Descriptive Test: The duration of the descriptive test is 30 minutes. It will be set in English language (letter writing and essay) examination with two questions for a total of 50 marks.
Important Points:-
- The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately.
- The marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase-III for preparing the final merit list.
Phase-III Interview and Group Exercise -
In view of the social distortion and safety measures required due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the third phase may include: (1) Interviews only (50 points) or (2) interviews (30 points) and group exercises (20 points).
- For final selection, candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks in 3rd Phase.
- Candidates who qualify for the third phase under the 'OBC' category will be required to produce an OBC certificate with a non-creamy layer 'clause.
