SSC CGL exam pattern:
SSC CGL Exam pattern is an important part of the CGL exam, it gives an idea about the division of questions, exam duration, and weightage of marks. SSC CGL consists of four different tiers tier 1, tier 2 tier 3 and tier 4. SSC CGL Tier 1 is a computer-based exam. Tier 1 divided into four subjects general intelligence & reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, and English comprehension.
- Every subject includes 25 questions and every question carry 2 marks. There is negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
- SSC CGL Tier 2 is also a computer-based exam. It includes four papers Quantitative Aptitude, English language, statistic, Finance, and economics.
- Quantitative Aptitude, statistic, Finance, and economics have 100 questions and every question carry 2 marks. These papers have a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2018
SSC CGL Syllabus plays an important role in the preparation of SSC CGL exam, as you can plan your study according to the syllabus. SSC CGL syllabus has divided into 4 tiers.
1. SSC CGL Tier 1:
Consists of four-part general intelligence & reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, and English comprehension.
- General intelligence & reasoning: the main purpose of this test is to check your mental ability & logical thinking. It includes Analogies, Number Series, Coding & de-coding, Venn Diagrams, Date & city matching, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence, and another topic.
- General awareness: General awareness is high scoring subject than any other subject. This paper is comprised of current affairs, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.

2. SSC CGL Tier 2:
consists of four papers Quantitative Aptitude, English language, statistic, Finance, and economics.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Quantitative aptitude syllabus is same for SSC CGL tier 1 and tier 2 exams but the major difference is tier 2’s difficulty level, that is high in comparison to tier 1.
- English language: English language paper is compulsory for all post. This paper is based on the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, etc.
- Statistic: This paper is only for those candidates who apply for the post-Junior Statistics Officer (JSO). The difficulty level of its syllabus is graduation level. - Finance and economics: The syllabus is divided into two parts, Part- A Finance & Accounts and Part-B Economics & Governance. This paper is only for those candidates who apply for the post Assistant account officer.

SSC CGL Application Form: Apply Online Process

- Before filling the application form you must require scanned photo and signature.
- Both photo and signature should be scanned in JPG format.
