SSC CGL Exam 2020 - Important Dates
The Staff Selection Commission is a premier government organization that conducts several prestigious competitive examinations every year. The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination is one of them and is conducted every year by the Commission.
- The Commission has invited online applications from qualified and skilled candidates for various posts such as Assistant / Audit Officer / Assistant Section Officer / Inspector / Upper Division Clerk / Tax Assistant.
- A total of 6505 tentative vacancies have been placed for the CGL Exam 2020, including Group 'B' Gazetted - 250 posts, Group 'B' Non-Gazetted - 3513 posts and Group 'C' - 2743 posts.

Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected as per their performance in the following exams -
- Tier-1 Online CBT (Objective Type)
- Tier-2 Online CBT (Objective Type)
- Tier-3 Exam (Descriptive Type/ Pen & Paper Mode)
- Tier-4 (Skill Test/ Proficiency Test/ Document Verification)
The dates of examinations shown in the notice are tentative. Any change in the schedule of examinations will be communicated to the candidates only through the website of the Commission. How to Apply?
The online application is available on the official web portal of SSC. The application form filling process is described below. You can easily submit your form with the help of -
- Firstly, you need to log on to the website ssc.nic.in.
- If you are a new user then complete your registration first.
- Now, Log in to the online system through your Registration Number and password.
- Click on the "Apply‟ link in the "Combined Graduate Level Examination 2020‟ section under the "Latest Notifications‟ tab.
- Fill up the details very carefully.
- Click on the ‘I Agree’ checkbox in the declarations if you accept the same.
- Now, submit the application.
- Proceed to the fee payment step.
- Pay the fee amount via any of the prescribed modes of payment.
- Now, take the printout of the form and the fee-receipt.
