It is mandatory for every candidate to adhere to all the eligibility conditions else you will not be allowed to fill up the application form. The Age limit criteria may vary from category to category. The physical standards eligibility is only for those candidates who apply for the post like Inspector, sub-inspector & others. If any candidate is found ineligible by the authorities after submitting the application form, he/she may have to face the legal consequences.

SSC CGL allows for age relaxation in the upper age limit for a few categories as follows:
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university. You can apply for the SSC CGL exam if you are in the final year of graduation and are waiting for the result, but you will have to complete your graduation degree before the SSC CGL exam.
Some post requires special qualification in SSC CGL exam. The details of the required educational conditions for SSC CGL Exam are given in the following table-

The physical standard is required only for a few posts like Inspector, Central Excise or Sub Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), NIA (National Investigation Agency) or in CBN (Central Bureau of Narcotics). A test called Physical Standard Test (PST) is conducted to ensure the physical ability of the candidate and it is a part of the recruitment process.
For the post of Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer/Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN:

However, candidates (except for Indian Citizens) shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
