Due to the exponential increase in COVID-19 cases, SSC had stopped all recruitment processes, since March, examinations were postponed, results were not announced. But now that the Unlocking has started, the process has started again. 

Under this series, SSC has announced for the recruitment of eligible candidates on 1564 posts of SI/CAPF recruitment, which was to be started from April 17.

SSC SI/CIPF Vacancy Notification 2020 – Important Dates

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) presents online applications to recruit candidates on 1564 vacant posts of Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The Commission will hold an Open Competitive Examination for the recruitment of candidates.

With the further increase in the number of posts in this recruitment of SSC, 169 posts of SI have been declared in Delhi Police, out of which 91 posts are for men, 78 posts are reserved for women. There are 1395 posts declared in CAPF, out of which 1342 posts are for men, while 53 posts have been reserved for women.

The commission encourages women candidates to participate in the open recruitment process.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Additional Result of Paper-I for qualifying candidates to appear in the Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET) on its official website. The list of the selected candidates has been uploaded on the official website. Eligibility Criteria:

In order to apply for the vacancies, candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the required eligibility conditions, as given below- 

Age Limit -

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years

Candidates from the reserved categories will be provided with age relaxation as per the prescribed government norms.

Qualification -

Bachelor’s degree from any recognized Institute/University.

Selection Procedure:

The selection of candidates on the available vacancies will be based on the following 4 PHASES-

• CBT Paper-I
• Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET)
• CBT Paper II
• Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

All these stages of the exam are mandatory for SSC SI/CAPF 2020 Recruitment. 

Paper-1 CBT will be held online, in which 50-50 questions will be asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Conference. In the second paper, 200 questions will be set from English Language and Comprehension.

• Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple-Choice Type, each question will carry one mark. 
• Questions will be set in Hindi and English. 
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I & Paper-II.

After the first paper, there will be a Physical Efficiency Test. Successful candidates will appear for the second paper examination and medical test. The second paper exam will be on 01 March 2021.

• For one-time registration, click on the ‘Register Now’ link given in the "Login” section at https://ssc.nic.in/.
• Enter personal details, scanned photos, signatures, and complete the registration process.
• After registration, log in to the online portal through your registration number and password on the Commission's website.
• Click on the Apply link for SSC CPO Notification.
• Enter details in the space provided.
• Re-check the information given by you and submit the application.
• Proceed to pay the fee, if you are not exempted from the fee payment.
• After payment, the application is successfully submitted and will be "temporarily" accepted.
• Candidates should take a printout of the application form for their own records.
