SSC MTS Recruitment 2021 – Important Details

The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (in Pay Level- 1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/Union Territories.

Eligibility Criteria:

It is mandatory for the candidates, who intend to fill up the application form, to adhere to the following eligibility conditions-

Age Limit -

• 18-25 years as on cut-off date (Candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003).
• 18-27 years as on cut-off date (Candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003).

Minimum Qualification -

Must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Application Fee:

The application fee is payable via both Online and Offline modes.  

Selection Process:

The SSC MTS Exam consists of two phases, i.e.-

• Tier-1 CBT (Objective Type)
• Tier-2 Descriptive Paper

The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II). The dates of examinations indicated in the notification are tentative. Any change in the schedule of examinations will be informed to candidates only through the website of the Commission.

Tier-1 CBT Exam Pattern -

• Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. 
• The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
• Marks scored in Paper-1 will be used to determine final merit list and cut off marks.
• Tentative answer key for the examination will be released a few days after the conduction of examination.

Tier-2 Exam Pattern (Descriptive Paper) -

• The descriptive type in ‘Pen and Paper’ Mode in which the candidates will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included.
• Paper-II will be qualifying in nature and will test your elementary language skills.
• Only those candidates who have meet the cut-off marks of Paper-1.

• Visit the official SSC website- www.ssc.nic.in.
• Register yourselves on the ‘Register Now’ link provided in ‘Login’ Section.
• Now, log-in to your account by entering the allotted registration number and password.
• Apply through the link ‘Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination 2020’.
• Upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature.
• Pay the application fee by credit/ debit card or e-challan.
• Submit the form and save a copy for future reference.
