SSC MTS Recruitment 2022 - Latest Notification Out for 3603 Vacancies

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates to apply for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2021 by issuing a notification on 22 March. The online application forms are available now on the official website of the commission.
SSC MTS 2022 Notification Overview
SSC MTS Recruitment 2022 is being organized by Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates on Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post (like Havaldar, Peon, Daftary, Jamadar, Junior Gestetner Operator, Chowkidar, Chowkidar, Safaiwala, Mali, etc) in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.
The number of vacancies for the Multi Tasking Staff will be notified by SSC soon. Last year, a total of 3972 Non-technical vacancies were announced out of which 3266 are for the age group 18-25 and the remaining 706 vacancies are for the 18-27 age group.

Details of Vacancies (Havaldar in CBIC and CBN)
This year, SSC has also released 3603 vacancies for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN in SSC MTS 2022 Notification PDF for which the category & cadre-wise vacancy details are given in the image below -
Eligibility Criteria:
It is mandatory for the candidates, who intend to fill up the application form, to adhere to the following eligibility conditions -
Minimum Qualification -
The candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit -
- 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
- 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

Selection Process:
The SSC MTS Exam consists of two phases, i.e.-
- Tier-1 CBT (Objective Type)
- Tier-2 Descriptive Paper
Tier-1 CBT Exam Pattern -
- Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Paper-II, III & IV.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
- Marks scored in Paper-1 will be used to determine the final merit list and cut-off marks.

Tier-2 Exam Pattern (Descriptive Paper) -
- The descriptive type in ‘Pen and Paper’ Mode in which the candidates will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included.
- Paper-II will be qualifying in nature and will test your elementary language skills.

- Now, log in to your account by entering the allotted registration number and password.
- Apply through the link ‘Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination 2021’.
- Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fee by credit/ debit card or e-challan.
- Submit the form and save a copy for future reference.

Q. What will the starting salary package be?
Ans. The candidates shortlisted for multi-tasking staff posts are salaried with Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission with basic pay of Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.1,800.
