God Mahavira got ‘Parinvirvan’ in the capital of Mallas Mahajanapadas ‘Pava’ or ‘Parapuri’. Pavapuri is situated in Nalanda district of Bihar. Mahavira swami was 24th tirthankara of Jainism. The first tirthankara was Aadinath and 23rd was Pasarvanath.
