UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2022 – Apply Online for Assistant Commandant Posts
Dear Candidates,
In April, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced one more recruitment exam by publishing the latest notification. Recently, UPSC has started an online application for a total of 253 posts under the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Exam 2021, BSF, CISF, ITBP & SSB.
Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules.
Candidates who want to get a commandant job can apply online for the above posts through UPSC's official website upsconline.nic.in.
UPSC Assistant Commandant Exam 2022 - Important Dates
This year, a total of 253 vacancies are available for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandants (AC). Out of the total, 66 vacancies are available for Border Security Force (BSF), 29 vacancies are available for Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 62 vacancies under Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), 14 vacancies for Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and 82 for Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Eligibility Criteria:
Before applying for the examination, the candidates should ensure that they are eligible for admission to the examination or not, or they fulfill all the eligibility conditions. Following is the temporary number of vacancies to be filled based on test results: -

Age Relaxation -
- Maximum 5 years of relaxation for SC / ST.
- Maximum 3 years of relaxation for OBC.
- Maximum 5 years of relaxation for ex-servicemen
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the following basis: -
- Written exam
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Personality test/interview
- Final Section / Merit
Written exam -
The first phase examination will be held on 08 August 2021, it will consist of 2 papers.
- Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence will be asked objective-type questions in Hindi and English for 250 marks.
- Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension will have 200 marks.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) -
Candidates who score minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be sent for the medical standard test.

Personality Test (Interview) -
Candidates who are declared qualified in the medical standard test will be called for the interview conducted by the UPSC.
- The interview test will be 150 marks.
Final Section -
The merit list will be made based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the written examination and interview.
