Union Public Service Commission has released two latest notification for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Exam 2023 & Indian Economic Service (IES)/Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Exam 2023 on its official website.

Online applications have invited from eligible candidates for the post of Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways, General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council and General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II in  Municipal Corporation of Delhi through UPSC CMS Notification 2023.

Important dates related to the exam are as follows - 

• Notification Out & start date to Apply: 19-04-2023
• Last Date to Apply Online: 09-05-2023 till 6.00 P.M
• Last Date for Payment of Fee (“Pay by cash” mode): 08-05-2023 23.59 hrs
• Last Date for Fee Payment (Online Mode): 09-05-2023 till 18:00 Hrs

Recruitment Details for UPSC 2023 Vacancy

UPSC Notification 2023 lists all the important information regarding the exam and recruitment from vacancies, eligibility, syllabus, posting details, important dates, and other details; candidates must be ensured before applying.

Scheme of Exams:

For CMS -

Part-I WRITTEN EXAMINATION – (500 marks): The candidates will take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration.

Part-II Personality Test: (100 Marks): Personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination.

For IES/ISS -

The examination shall be conducted as follows:-

Part 1-Written examination carrying a maximum of 1000 marks.

Part 2-Viva voce of such candidates as may be called by the Commission carrying a maximum of 200 marks.

A. Indian Economic Service -

B. Indian Statistical Service -

Note-1: Statistics I & II will be of Objective Type Questions (80 questions with maximum marks of 200 in each paper) to be attempted in 120 minutes.

Note-2: Statistics III and IV will be of Descriptive Type having Short Answer/ Small Problems Questions (50%) and Long Answer and Comprehension problem questions (50%).

Note-3: The papers on General English and General Studies, common to both Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service will be of subjective type.

Note-4: All other papers of the Indian Economic Service will be of subjective type.

• For Female/ SC/ ST/ PWBD: Nil
• Payment Mode: Any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI
