UPSC IAS (Mains) Exam 2020 – Online Application Available!
Dear Candidates,
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification for IAS Mains Exam 2020, after declaring the result of the Civil Service Preliminary Examination 2020. The candidates will be selected for 796 vacancies through this exam.
Candidates who have qualified the Prelims Exam are called to apply online for the UPSC Civil Service Mains Exam on the official website - https://upsc.gov.in/.

UPSC Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2020
UPSC invites the candidates, shortlisted through Prelims Exam, to apply for the Mains Exam. It is to notice that candidates will, once again, have to submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) separately for the Mains Exam. The link of which will be available on the website of the DAF (CSM) Commission till 11th November 2020.
The candidates selected through the examination will be posted in various prestigious positions in All-India Service and Central Civil Service, including IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, IRTS and other posts.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the examination as per the required conditions mentioned below-
Age Limit -
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 32 Years
Age Relaxation -
- There is a relaxation of 3 years for OBS candidates.
- There is a 5-year exemption for SC and ST candidates.
- There is a 10-year exemption for PWD category candidates.
Educational Qualification -
Candidates applying for UPSC examination must have a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university.
Mains Exam Pattern:
Candidates who have successfully passed the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the Mains exam. You can check the exam pattern here:

- Paper A and B will be of qualifying nature.
- Only those candidates who have successfully passed the preliminary and mains written examination will be able to participate in the interview round.

How to Apply?
- Visit the website https://upsconline.nic.in.
- Click on the option 'Online application for various examination for UPSC'.
- After clicking on this option, a table will appear in front of the candidates to click on the link 'DAF - I: Civil Services (Mains) Examination, 2020'.
- Now, select Part-I registration and proceed.
- Fill the registration form carefully.
- Pay the application fee amount.
- Select the exam center of your choice.
- Upload your scanned recent passport sized photo, signature and photo ID.
- For the announcement select the checkbox announcing your agreement.
- To enter Part-II registration, fill in your Registration ID, date of birth and Captcha.
- Complete Part - II registration.
- Keep a copy of the fee receipt for future reference.
Let us know that UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination is going to be held from 8 January 2021. According to official notification, the e-admit cards will be uploaded on the official website of the Commission, about 3 to 4 weeks before the commencement of the examination.
