UPSC IES/ ISS Recruitment 2022 – Golden Opportunity for Graduates

UPSC IES & ISS Recruitment 2022: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Exam 2022 on its official website. This recruitment portal is being done to recruit 53 vacancies of which, 24 are for the Indian Economic Service and 29 are for the Indian Statistical Service.

Candidates who wish to appear in the UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2022 can submit their applications through the online mode on upsc.gov.in from 6 April 2022. However, The online Applications can be withdrawn from 04 May 2022 to 10 May 2022 till 6.00 PM.

UPSC IES & ISS Notification 2022 Overview 

Candidates (male/female/transgender) applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. 

Important dates related to the exam are as follows - 

• Last Date to Apply Online: 26-04-2022 till 18:00 Hrs
• The online Applications can be withdrawn from: 04 to 10-05-2022 till 6.00 PM
• Last Date for Payment of Fee (“Pay by cash” mode): 25-04-2022 23.59 hrs
• Last Date for Fee Payment (Online Mode): 26-04-2022 till 18.00 Hours
• Date for Examination: 24-06-2022
• Declaration of Result: July/August 2022

Recruitment Details for UPSC IES/ISS Exam 2022

There are some essential criteria for UPSC IES and ISS Recruitment Exam 2022 – Educational qualification, age limit of the eligible candidate, what will be the selection process, etc must be ensured before applying.

Selection Process for UPSC IES/ISS 2022 

The examination shall be conducted as follows:-

Part 1-Written examination carrying a maximum of 1000 marks.

Part 2-Viva voce of such candidates as may be called by the Commission carrying a maximum of 200 marks.

Note-1: Statistics I & II will be of Objective Type Questions (80 questions with maximum marks of 200 in each paper) to be attempted in 120 minutes.

Note-2: Statistics III and IV will be of Descriptive Type having Short Answer/ Small Problems Questions (50%) and Long Answer and Comprehension problem questions (50%).

Note-3: The papers on General English and General Studies, common to both Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service will be of subjective type.

Note-4: All other papers of the Indian Economic Service will be of subjective type.

The question papers in all subjects in Indian Economic Service Examination and in Indian Statistical Service Examination will be of Conventional (essay) type except in Statistics Paper I and Statistics Paper-II which are Objective Type Papers.

Penalty for wrong answers: Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Viva Voce: Those who will qualify in the written test will be called for Viva Voce. The object of the interview is to assess his/her suitability for the service for which he/she has competed.

• Payment Mode: Any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI
