UPSC IFS Mains Exam 2022: Online Application Link Activated!

Dear Candidates,

After completing the first round-UPSC IFS Prelims exam, The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting UPSC IFS Mains Exam in November 2022. Also, UPSC has started online applications for the Mains exam from 8th August to 18th August 2022. The candidates will be selected for 151 vacancies through this exam.

Candidates who qualified the Prelims Exam are called to apply online for the UPSC Civil Service Mains Exam on the official website - https://upsc.gov.in/.

UPSC IFS Exam 2022 Overview

First, UPSC published an official notification for Indian Forest Service Examination 2022 on 02-02-2022, then the prelims exam was held on 05-06-2022. Now, the main exam will be held soon by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the examination as per the required conditions mentioned below-

Age Limit -

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 32 Years
• Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1990 and not later than 01-08-2001

Age Relaxation -

• There is a relaxation of 3 years for OBS candidates.
• There is a 5-year exemption for SC and ST candidates.
• There is a 10-year exemption for PWD category candidates.

Educational Qualification -

Candidates applying for UPSC examination must have a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university.

Mains Exam Pattern:

Candidates who have successfully passed the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the Mains exam.

(A) The written examination consisting of the following papers:—

  Paper I—General English 300 Marks

  Paper II—General Knowledge 300 Marks

  Papers III, IV, V and VI.—Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional subjects in the notification. Each subject will have two papers.— 200 marks for each paper.

Note : Answer scripts of only those candidates who have obtained the minimum marks as decided by the Commission for Paper II (General Knowledge) will be evaluated.

(B) Interview for Personality Test (See Part C of Section II of this Appendix) of such candidates as may be called by the Commission— Maximum Marks : 300
