UPSC Civil Services Recruitment 2020 - Vacancy Details 

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the online applications for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020. The candidates selected through the examination will be posted on various reputed positions in All-India Services and central civil services including IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, IRTS, and many more.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the same on the UPSC website. The applications are open till 3rd March 2020. The number of available vacancies is estimated to be 796, for now, and it could be varied in the due course of time.

Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates who intend to apply for the UPSC Civil Services Recruitment 2020 are suggested to ensure their eligibility-

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years 
  • Maximum Age: 32 Years

Minimum Qualification Required 

Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates must have pursued their graduation (any disciple) from a recognized university/institute.

Selection Process

The procedure of selection for UPSC Civil Services examination comprises of two successive stages, as-

  1. Preliminary Exam (Objective-type)
  2. Mains Exam (Written Exam + Interview)

The applications are being filled for the Prelims exam only. If one has been declared qualified in the prelims round, then only he/she will be eligible to apply again for the Mains round. 

Preliminary Examination -

  • The exam will consist of 2 compulsory papers.
  • Questions in both the papers will be Multiple-choice type.
  • Paper-II will be qualifying in nature and the minimum qualifying percentage will be 33%.
  • The question paper will be bilingual (Both Hindi & English)

How to Apply??

  • Visit the website https://upsconline.nic.in.
  • Click on ‘ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC’.
  • Now, select the Part-I registration and move further.
  • Fill up the registration form carefully.
  • Pay the application fee amount.
  • Select the exam centre of your choice.
  • Upload your scanned recent passport-sized photo, signature, and photo identity card.
  • Select the checkbox declaring your agreement to the declaration.
  • In order to move to Part-II Registration, fill up your registration id, date of birth and captcha.
  • Complete the Part-II Registration.
  • Keep a copy of the fee-receipt with you for future reference.
