SBI Recruitment 2020 - Notification Out for 8500 Apprentice Posts!!

Hello Candidates,

State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification for recruitment to the post of Apprentice on its official website. Also, under Apprentice Act 1961, online applications have been invited from Indian citizens for engagement as apprentice.

8500 SBI CBO notification 2020-21

Explain that under Apprentice recruitment, candidates are to be selected on 8500 vacant posts state-wise throughout India. All candidates holding the requisite qualification and experience can apply to the posts through the online mode from today onwards. i.e. 20 November 2020.

• Training period: The duration of training under recruitment is 3 years and all the selected apprentices should be prepared to clear the IIBF (JAIIB / CAIIB) examinations during the 3 years apprenticeship in the bank.

• Candidates can apply for engagement in only one state. Candidates can appear for the examination only once under this engagement project.

Required Eligibility Criteria

State wise seats of apprentice, state wise local languages, district wise training seats, age, educational qualification, duration of training, training, salary, selection process, examination canter, fees and other related parameters are given below:

Graduate pass candidates can also apply for recruitment to 2000 posts of SBI PO.

Educational Qualification -

A bachelor's degree from a recognized university / institute is required.

Age Limit (as on 31.10.2020) -

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years

Age Relaxation -

SBI has given the following relaxation in upper age limit for the categories:

Salary -

• Apprentice Rs. 15000 / - during 1st year. 16500 / - per month during 2^nd year. Rs 19000 / - per month and 3rd year Is eligible for per month.
• Apprentice is not eligible for any other allowances / benefits.

Selection Process:

Selection to the candidates on the above posts will be on the following basis-

• Computer Based Online Examination
• Test of Local Language
• Medical exam

CBT Exam pattern -

Check the section wise exam pattern for online exam below-

• There will be a penalty for incorrect answers in the objective test.
• For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4 of the marks awarded to that question will be deducted as penalty for reaching the correct score.
• If a question is blank, ie if no answer has been marked by the candidate, then there will be no penalty for that question.

Test of Local Language -

• Specified local languages of the states are described in Para A of the Notification PDF. Candidates applying for the vacant posts should be mentioned as proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the particular state, the specified local language of that state.
• The examination for knowledge of the chosen local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process, after qualifying the online written test.
• Candidates who fail to pass this examination will not be eligible for this recruitment.
• Candidates who have studied that language in class 10th or 12th and have that language as a subject in the marksheet / certificate, then you will not need to go through the language test. Candidates will have to appear for the specified local language examination at a center of the state (to be decided by the bank), at their own expense.

Medical exam -

·Recruitment of selected Apprentice is subject to his being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the bank.
