Rajasthan Forest Department Forest Guard Recruitment 2013 – Apply Online January 28th, 2013

Rajasthan Forest Department was formed by implementing three major acts of the Government- Rajasthan forest act 1953, Indian wildlife (Protection) act 1972 and Forest (conservation) act 1980. The main responsibility of the department is to take care of all the forests and wildlife sanctuaries in the state of Rajasthan. The forest in Rajasthan has been spread over the larger area of the state in Northern, eastern and the southern parts.
Rajasthan Forest Guard Recruitment 2013 (Important details)

Rajasthan Forest Department is conducting the Recruitment process for the selection for the post of the forest guard. The total number of vacancies available for the post is 852.
Required Eligibility Details:

The minimum and the maximum age limit specified by the Rajasthan Forest Guard department for the post of Forest guard would vary between 18 years to 25 years. There is a relaxation in the upper age limit of the reserved categories as per the instructions of the Rajasthan Government. Another criterion for the candidate to be selected for the forest guard is the height. The candidate must have minimum height of 170cm or above.

The Candidate must have passed the Intermediate exams from the recognized board with a minimum percentage of 55%. Candidates qualifying the above criteria are eligible for the post of forest guard in the Rajasthan forest guard department.
Selection Procedure:

The candidate for the selection in the post of the forest guard has to undergo two stages of examination. The candidates first have to undergo the written exam for the post followed by the Physical fitness test (PFT). Only the candidates qualifying the written examination will be further eligible for the Physical fitness test. The Physical fitness test will be conducted by the team of trainers to test the physical fitness of the candidate. The candidates then have to undergo Physical Measurement test followed by the group discussion and the Interview. The date of the written examination is 24th February, 2013. The admit card for the post can be printed online from 10th February, 2013. The candidates who are selected for the post of forest Guard will be serving the forest department for a period of 2 years as a probation period from the date of joining.
Apply Procedure:

The candidates who are willing to apply for the post of forest guard in Rajasthan forest department will have to apply online. To apply online, one has to visit the official website of the Rajasthan forest department and has to download the application form from the website. The application form has to be filled by providing all the necessary relevant information in the prescribed format. The application fee is different for different categories. There is a relaxation in the application fees of some of the reserved categories as per the policies of the Government. The last date of filling this application is 10th February, 2013 and the last date of deposition of application fee for the post of forest guard is 9th February, 2013
