1. Pabuji was born in 1239 AD in Kolu (present-day Barmer, Rajasthan). His father's name was Dhandhalji Rathore. Dhandhalji Rathore had four children, out of which he had two sons and two daughters. His sons' names were Pabuji and Bura and his daughters' names were Sona and Pema.

2. According to historian Muhannaut Nainasi, great poet Modji Ashiya and regional people, Pabuji Rathod was born from the womb of an Apsara. According to him, Pabuji's birthplace was a village named Juna in Khari Khabar, 8 miles ahead of the present Barmer city.

3. Pabuji's place of worship is in Kolu (Phalodi). Their fair is also held here in Kolu every year. Because he got up in the middle of his marriage and went to save the cows, he is shown in the groom's clothes. His symbol is popular in the form of a horse rider with a spear in his hand.

4. The villagers consider Pabuji to be the incarnation of Lakshman ji and worship him as a folk deity. People also worship Pabuji as the god of camels.

5. The name of Pabuji's mare was Kesar Kalmi.
